About Arc

Arc is built by Mamata, a solo developer publishing under the name Rethink. There’s no team, no investors and no office. When you email about a bug, it lands in my inbox and I fix it myself.

What Arc is

Arc is an AI assistant that works on the screen you’re already looking at. Instead of copying text into a chatbot, you open Arc over the app you’re in and it reads that screen: it summarizes it, reads it aloud, rewrites what you’re typing, pulls out dates and contacts, or runs a prompt you wrote yourself.

It’s available on:

One subscription covers every platform, and the free tier gives you 7 requests a week with no ads.

The Arc menu open over a browser window, listing AI Summary, AI Writer, AI Read and other actions

Built accessibility-first

Arc started on Android as a floating sidebar and grew to Mac and Windows. From the start it was designed for people with dyslexia, low vision and other reading difficulties, which is why reading any screen aloud is a core feature and not an add-on.

How Arc treats your data

Arc reads a screen only when you trigger an action. It doesn’t monitor in the background and it skips password managers. Saved items, custom actions and your Info Vault are stored on your device. The privacy policy explains every permission and when it’s used.
